Worse yet, a tiny leak can let air in. Once that happens? The filament oxidizes and burns out in a matter of hours. We use high-purity synthetic quartz because it stays rigid. It keeps the vacuum sealed tight, which keeps the lamp alive.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The Wire (The Filament)&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;The filament is where the real battle is won. We use a specific tungsten alloy that doesn&amp;rsquo;t &amp;ldquo;crystallize&amp;rdquo; under heat.&#xA;But the secret is actually in the tension. If the wire is too loose, it sags. That sag creates a hot spot—a tiny area that gets way hotter than the rest of the wire. That spot thins out, snaps, and your lamp is dead. We pull our filaments to a very precise tension so they stay straight and heat evenly.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Getting Them Set Up&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;You don&amp;rsquo;t need to overthink the installation.
